Abstract
This study was undertaken to define the prognostic value of the overexpression of cathepsin D in 40 breast cancer patients.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) Overall, 52.5% of patients were positive for cathepsin D.
2) Positive staining did not correlate with menopause status, axillary nodal status or tumor size.
3) There was no statistical difference in cumulative survival rates between positive-and negative-staining groups of cathepsin D.
